Koala Room – Room Routine
| 6.30am | Centre opens |
| 6.30am – 8.30am | Children and families welcomed. Indoor/Outdoor Play. Free choice. All age groups combined. |
| 8.30am | Possums and Koalas separate into their playground (Indoor/Outdoor play) |
| 9.30am – 10.00am | Toileting, washing hands, morning tea time. |
| 10.00am – 11.20am | Indoor play (Free choice in all areas around the room) |
| 11.20am – 11.30am | Pack Up Time |
| 11.30am – 11.50am | Group Time, Toileting, Wash hands |
| 11.50am – 12.20pm | Lunch |
| 12.20pm – 2.00pm | Rest/Sleep (Relaxation Music Played) Quiet Activities |
| 2.00pm – 2.30pm | Group Time, Toileting, Wash hands Sunscreen applied to all children before Indoor/Outdoor play |
| 2.30pm – 3.00pm | Afternoon Tea Time |
| 3.00pm – 5.00pm | Indoor/Outdoor play (Free choice) |
| 5.00pm – 5.30pm | All age groups combine together in Large Playground |
| 5.30pm – 6.30pm | Indoor play (free choice) |
| 6.30pm | Centre closes |

- To be able to cope and work out solutions to different situations
- To encourage the children to make choices and decisions for themselves
- To participate and interact with children of their own age
- To do things independently
- To help them to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others
- To ensure they are capable of problem solving
- To express their own needs
- To have the confidence to choose to draw, dance, sing, play games and participate with musical instruments
- To let the children be creative and explore movement
